Weatherproof Membrane
Our high-tech membrane technology is made of polymer which makes it more difficult for water to enter from outside, while the water vapour molecules that arise inside from perspiration are transported through the membrane to the outside by means of a physiochemical process. In other words, it is water resistant and breathable at the same time. The greater the breathability of your boots, the greater the wearing comfort.
Seam Sealed Weatherproof Construction
All seams are tape-sealed and the adhesive construction further ensures the weatherproof quality of the boots. This, in conjunction with specially silicone-tanned leathers, further helps protect you from elements of winter.
Aqua Glove Leather
Our leather technicians shop the world to find premium leather for our boots, but this is not enough. The key to truly make a beautiful pair of boots is in the finishing stages of production. At Santana we use special European finishes and old world Italian techniques to hand finish each boot. This allows the leather to have a luxurious soft hand and premium quality synonymous with a Santana boot.
Velvet Soft Pig Suede Nubuck
Many of our suede boots are made with specially developed soft pig suede Nubuck; this provides a much softer feel to the boot and a richer finish to the upper along with added weather protection in wet and salt conditions.
Shearling Uppers and Lining
Many of our more casual boots use genuine shearling uppers and linings for added natural warmth and luxury. We use genuine natural wool for our foot linings which provides excellent warmth on those cold days.
Jazz Micro Fleece Lining
We use a soft brushed micro fleece lining with a foam backing for our boots which resists pilling and provides additional warmth and comfort in what would look like dress tailored styling that can be worn every day from work to weekend.
Faux Mink Fur Lining
We have developed some of the softest most luxurious faux fur linings available that feel and act a lot like real Mink. They will provide your feet with outstanding protection and warmth on those cold winter days and nights.
Stacked Heel & Two Piece Construction
Many of our boots are made with a leather stacked heel and two-piece construction that provides a much more finished looking boot and very durable construction. This also allows you to replace the heel lift when worn down rather than throw away your most favourite Santana boot.
TPR Outsoles
Thermo Plastic Rubber outsoles provide extra confidence in slippery conditions and perform well at lower temperatures. They also add more shock absorption and comfort.

Boot Care
Oils, such as mink, bear or synthetic;
are not recommended on our products. These oils leave a greasy film and give an aspect of broken or altered finish. Also if this product penetrates the seams, it can neutralize the weatherproof tapes we use to seal the stitching.
Cleaners or protectors in vaporizer bottle (pump);
are not recommended when applied directly on our leathers. These pumps don’t evenly apply the product, which can cause spots on leathers. Distributors suggest that they be applied on a cloth and that the cloth be used to clean the leather. Shoe polish will rub off the leather onto the cloth.
Suede and nubuck spray protectors;
have proven to be adequate in our trials. On the other hand, brushing with a firm bristle or steel brush can be sufficient since we use waterproof suede and nubuck.
Liquid silicones;
can penetrate the seams and neutralize the weatherproof tape used to seal stitches. This product can also cause damage, such as burns, to the sole.
Shoe polish;
is adequate, but cannot be used on suede and nubuck leathers.
Spray protectors;
will help protect all leathers; however, certain leathers may show spotting and loss of lustre following use of this product. Do not use on oil-based leathers, as they are especially sensitive to the effects of this type of product.
